  • Cultural Experiences: Five Points features many cultural amenities, including the Black American West Museum, Five Points Media Center, Roundtree Art Center and the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble studios.
  • Juneteenth Celebration: The annual four day parade and festival commemorates the day in 1865 when African-Americans in the west first heard of the Emancipation Proclamation.  The celebration is one of the biggest such festivals in America, attracting upwards of 120,000 people.

History of the Five Points Name: The name “Five Points” came from the end-of-the-line streetcar stop at the intersection of 26th Avenue, 27th Street, Washington Street and Welton Street. The streetcar signs did not provide enough room to display all four street names and dubbed the intersection and neighborhood Five Points.

Boundaries: The Boundaries for Denver’s Five Points Neighborhood are approximately North Downing Street to the East, The South Platte River to the West, 20th Avenue to the South and 38th Avenue to the North.
