New Homeowner's Guide to Tablerock Golden
Not a Tablerock resident, but want to be? We have a guide for you too.
Welcome to Tablerock, the best neighborhood in all of Golden (in our humble opinion, of course ;-) ! We know that moving to a new neighborhood is exciting, but it's also stressful. As fellow residents of the neighborhood, we hope this guide will make your first few months here a bit easier.
Utilities:
- Internet/Phone - TDS, Century Link and DirectTV/AT&T are the main providers in our area. TDS seems to be the most common among Tablerockers. We personally use TDS and have had pretty good luck with it, but we've heard good and bad things about them all.
- Cable - Same providers as Internet/Phone, but more and more neighbors are switching to streaming (Hulu + Live TV, Youtube TV, etc) and have had good luck with that.
- Trash/Recycling - Our HOA manages our trash & recycling from Waste Management. Trash comes every Wednesday and recycling is every other Wednesday. Pro Tip: If you keep your bins outside during the week, get a bungee cord to secure the top as the wind in Golden will no doubt blow it over multiple times every year! Keep the wind in mind for backyard umbrellas, furniture etc. Depending on your location in the neighborhood, it can be wise to strap down your outdoor furniture for the non-summer months.
Tablerock HOA:
MSI manages our HOA along with the help of 5 elected volunteer board members from the neighborhood. You should receive a packet from them after moving in (approximately 4-6 weeks), but here are a few must-do's once you receive it:
- Register for Tablerock HOA Website - Once MSI gets your info, they'll send you an email to register.
- HOA Emails / Alerts - Once registered, you should automatically receive Tablerock emails from MSI to receive monthly HOA newsletters, community event info, etc. You can also go into your settings on the Tablerock MSI website and opt-in for text messages, etc.
- Pool Bracelets & Cabana - MSI provides one bracelet per person in the household. You'll need these to enter the locked pool gate during pool hours. You also have the option to reserve the Pool Cabana via the MSI website (under For Residents / Reservations).
- Community Events - The HOA sponsors multiple community events every year including July 4th Parade, Pool Opening Party, Fallfest & more. Details for these events are emailed and signs are usually posted around the neighborhood a couple weeks prior to the event. Nextdoor.com is also a great way to hear about these events (see below).
- Automatic Payments - Once you set up your profile on the Tablerock MSI website, you can sign up for automatic monthly payments for HOA fees via credit card or checking account. Makes life a lot easier!
- Downtown Golden Parking Pass - As of recent, most of downtown Golden is now paid parking. As Golden residents, we get 2 hours of free parking though. You just need to register your vehicle (select 'Golden Resident Permit') annually.
- Contact MSI if Needed - Our current MSI contact is Tyler Stephens, TStephens@msihoa.com / (720) 974-4128. Please email him with any non-urgent questions. For urgent issues, call (303) 420-4433, but this is only for truly urgent issues (broken water pipes, etc).
Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor is a great resource for local recommendations, advice, etc. You can post a question yourself or search for a term (e.g. Plumber) and you'll see many recommendations, comments and other helpful tidbits from neighbors. If you have any questions about how to sign up, email Jess@FeasterRealty.com and she'll send you details on getting set up for Tablerock. Once signed up, you can adjust how often (if ever) they send you email or mobile alerts.
The Basics
- Closest Grocery Stores
- King Soopers - If you need vegetables, a prescription, halloween candy, markers and a mop, this is your place...but heads-up, it is ALWAYS crowded.
- Sprouts - If you like organic options, natural shampoos, and feeling calm, cool and collected while grocery shopping, head here.
- Local Rec Centers - Both facilities are nice in different ways. Tablerockers get the Resident Rate at APEX, but not at Golden, one of the many quirks of living in unincorporated Jefferson County.
- APEX Center (Arvada) - APEX has multiple facilities throughout Arvada, but the APEX Center location is the largest with multiple large swimming pools, ice rink, basketball courts, childcare, kid's summer camp, workout facilities & classes, skate park, climbing wall & more. Visit the APEX website for the other APEX facilities offering tennis, indoor soccer, pickleball, gymnastics, etc.
- Golden Community Center - Not quite as big as APEX Center, but some people prefer it for this reason. The center has multiple swimming pools, kid's summer camp, workout facilities, dance classes, climbing gym & more.
- Vet - There are many highly rated vets in the area, but here are the top rated by our neighbors on Nextdoor.
- Table Mountain Veterinary Clinic - (303) 279-1701
- Arvada Flats Veterinary Hospital - (303) 467-9212
- Liquor Store - Beer, wine and liquor lovers, rejoice! We have some great, locally owned options nearby.
- Mile High Wine Cellars - Less than a 10 min drive is this small, but mighty liquor store located near King Soopers. They have infinite knowledge and a fantastic selection including some exclusive local inventory.
- Applejack Liquors - Also locally owned, this larger liquor store has a lot more options, but is a bit farther away.
- Schools - These are our default schools and they offer bus drop off/pick up from the neighborhood.
- Fairmount Elementary (PTA Website also has helpful info)
- Bell Middle School (some neighbors opt for Manning Middle School, a choice in Jefferson County school)
- Golden High School
- Daycare - Here are a few of the many in the area. No matter which you choose, sign up ASAP as they fill up fast! A search on Nextdoor will give you additional options as well.
- Golden Police Department - (303) 384-8045
Fun Golden Events
The City of Golden hosts countless great events throughout the year. They keep a complete list on VisitGolden.com, but here are a few of our favorites.
Candlelight Walk - Perhaps the most magical night of the year in Golden. The city closes the main street and our larger community gathers on Washington Ave near Sherpa House (a tasty, locally-owned Nepalese Restaurant) to walk with candles down to Parfet Park to watch the holiday lights turn on for the season and fireworks.
- Golden Bike Cruise - A family friendly event with bikes, beers, music and community! If you have little kids, you can just come by for the first hour to hang with friends before the bike parade heads out.
- Golden Farmer's Market - Located right next to the Golden Library, this mid-size farmer's market is a must-do! Make sure to buy some roasted hatch chilis to make some homemade Green Chili!
- Concerts at Buffalo Rose - This 150 year old property has quite the story! It's a great place for a drink with visiting friends & family and the attached music venue is also a fun, affordable place for an intimate concert.
- Clear Creek - Clear Creek is part of Golden's heart and soul. After all, it flows right into the Coors Brewery to make the classic Banquet Beer! Take gentle stroll on the river walk or surf a playhole in your kayak - there's no wrong way to take advantage of this Golden staple.
In & Around the Neighborhood
The City of Golden hosts countless great events throughout the year. They keep a complete list on VisitGolden.com, but here are a few of our favorites.
- Mountain Biking - Pretty sure you've noticed that little mountain next to us, but did you know that North Table is one of Denver's most popular mountain bike trails? The North Table Loop is a popular Intermediate trail while the Tablerock trail is a great place for newbies that want to bike from their front door.
- Frisbee Golf & Dog Park - Just north of us, you'll find the Bird's Nest Disc Golf Course , a laidback course for both families and experts. Make sure to bring your own discs. If you bring your pup, you can go right next door and find the West Arvada Dog Park.
- Ralston Creek Trail - Just north of 64th, the 13.4 mile trail is a great option for biking or walking. Locals love its shade from the trees and creek views, but it can get busy on weekends.
- Sledding Hills - The littles tend to stick to the the little hill in the middle of Devil's Head Circle. The older kids tend to get a bit more creative, but probably wise to wear a helmet. ;-)

Say Hello
If you haven't picked up on it already, you'll soon learn that people simply love living here. While mountains out your front door and a community pool don't hurt, we believe that the people are the main reason our neighbors love Tablerock. So the next time you're at the Tablerock playground or stopping by a community event, introduce yourself! We hope the people are the reason you love it here too.
Thank You!
As another locally owned business, we too have been so grateful for all the support from our neighbors. Since moving to Tablerock in 2014, we've made lifelong friends and genuinely can't imagine living anywhere else. If you have any more questions about the neighborhood or just want to introduce yourself (see above Say Hello section ;-), please reach out to Jay (Jay@FeasterRealty.com / 720-891-7916) or Jess (Jess@FeasterRealty.com / 303-807-3677)!
