We're thrilled to introduce you to Kevin Bloom, our new Office Manager (aka Jack of all Trades, Real Estate Ninja, etc)! He's pretty awesome. As many of our clients will be working with him, we wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know him better. I sat down with Kevin and we spoke about who he is and why he loves real estate.
Q: Favorite place or thing to do in Denver?
A: I love to road bike and one of my favorite rides is the Platte River Trail to the Cherry Creek Trail all the way to Cherry Creek Reservoir. It's a long ride, but it's such a great mix of urban and greenery. Best part is that you're on a trail the whole time so you never have to worry about traffic.
Q: What are accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Hands down, completing the Ironman Boulder in 2015. I was going through a stage in my life where I felt like something was missing and I knew I needed a new challenge so I decided to pick something that seemed impossible. Ironman was the first thing that came to mind. After a full year of training, it was pretty epic to cross the finish line after 15 long, non-stop hours. Let's just say I have a Ironman bumper sticker on my truck now...and a tshirt...and a water bottle...
Q: What would people be surprised to know about you?
A: I'm a twin. My twin sister, Karly, and I are still best friends today. She moved to Colorado before I did to attend CU Boulder and after visiting, it was a only a matter of time before I moved out here too.
Q: What attracted you to the Real Estate Industry?
A: Real estate has always been a topic of conversation for my family. My grandparents have multiple investment properties back in Ohio that my parents now manage. Growing up, I would be tasked with mowing lawns, trimming trees or doing whatever was needed for these. I think this inspired me to have rentals myself now, one in Uptown Denver and a commercial property in Arvada. I love the idea of retiring (hopefully early!) with these as a solid income.
For this job, I'm excited share this knowledge and passion with our clients. I geek out on crunching the numbers for cash flow, long term equity, etc.
Q: What's your dream vacation?
A: Galapagos Islands, hands-down. On the weekends, I'm a dive instructor at a local Denver dive shop and diving is a huge passion of mine. Diving has taken me all over the Caribbean, but I'd love to see the Pacific.
Q: What's your favorite quote?
A: "Where there's a will, there's a way." My grandpa's name was Will and this was his motto, and I still try to live by it.
